Carol J..Johnson Donnelli, 79, of Fleetwood, passed away suddenly, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at Penn State Health, St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township, PA. Born October 19, 1941 in Cavalier, North Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Mae A. (Freeman) and Vernon H. Johnson. The love of her life, her husband of 54 years, Rudolph E. Donnelli, passed away on December 13, 2015.
Carol worked as a restorative aide for 30 years at Kutztown Manor, retiring in 2013. She was a 1959 graduate of Central High School, Grand Forks, ND and attended Berks VoTech, receiving her certifications as a dental assistant and CNA. Carol was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Kutztown, and loved crocheting, knitting, sewing, reading, and watching cooking shows.
Carol is survived by her three children, Ann M. (Donnelli) Gonczkowski, wife of John Gonczkowski, Reading, Mark E. Donnelli, husband of Kathryn E. (Weidenhammer) Donnelli, Mertztown, and Jill R. Donnelli-Hu, wife of Lun-Pei Hu, Winchester, VA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Anthony R. Sands, Jason D.E. Bressler, Steven M. Stetzler and his fiancee' Devon, Kathryn L. Bressler and her companion Josh, Jack E. Hu, Elizabeth J. Hu, Gaige B. Donnelli and Jacob B. Donnelli, her great-grandchildren, Laci and Joannah, by her brother, Arbury Johnson, husband of Roxanne Johnson, Seattle, WA, her sister, Trudy M. (Johnson) Gerszewski, West Fargo, ND, numerous nieces and nephews and by her favorite fur babies, her doggie, Molly and her kitty, Missy. In addition to her husband, Rudolph, Carol was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathryn Lynn Donnelli, her sister, Linda (Johnson) LaBelle and her brother, Tom Johnson.
Funeral Services for Carol will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 11:00 am at Walbert Funeral Home & Cremation Services, PC, 14390 Kutztown Rd, Fleetwood. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale.
